Pizzeria da Tiziano — Restaurant in Venice

Great cozy atmosphere. Crazy busy on a Wednesday evening, but we were seated right away at the last empty table. Expect everything to take longer when busy like this. We ordered soda water, Coke Zero, pizza (which often comes uncut in Italy) 7/10, steak & salad 5/10 for around €50… too pricy for what it was, but what you’d expect to pay on an island in Venice. Menus had some English. Note: there are 2 different menu boards… one with pizzas, the other with other mains (pastas, salads, meats, etc.); we were only handed the pizza menus, but had seen photos in reviews so knew they had...

Racconto di una serata in compagnia. Premettendo che poi alla fine il titolare della trattoria ha chiesto scusa e ci ha fatto lo sconto! è successo questo. Prenotato alle 8.30, arrivati tt in orario, siamo riusciti ad ordinare va le 9. E va beh c'era un po' di gente, e siamo in vacanza.... Ordinato 3 pizze (arrivate dopo 1 ora e un quarto), 4 primi di pesce (2 paste e 2 lasagne) questi arrivati dopo un altra mezz'ora - tot tempo di attesa per mangiare 1 e 45 min. Lasciamo stare anche il tempo di attesa quello che non è andato bene è che una delle due paste doveva essere assolutamente senza aglio perché la persona interessata risultava essere allergica e quindi con alte probabilità di stare molto male nel caso di ingestione, dopo averlo specificato alla cameriera (che diligentemente lo ha trascritto sulla comanda), il piatto arriva al tavolo con un forte odore di aglio, è stato quindi riportato indietro chiesto tre volte se c'era l'aglio dentro, risposta della cameriere "parlate con il titolare" alzando le spalle.....la risposta è sempre stata cmq negativa.... "l'aglio non c'è". Alla fine con varie insistenza l'aglio c'era....."ma le appe si cucinano con l'aglio" Bastava solo che appena trovato il difetto sul piatto ammetterlo, scusarsi e proporre un nuovo piatto senza aglio. Forse...

I ordered a pizza fuego from the extensive list. They also offer pasta, meat and fish, etc. but seem to specialise in pizzas. Mine came with a good crispy base and a spicy topping as might be expected from the name. People popped in for a drink at the bar and to collect pizza orders, more so than those eating in the restaurant on a wet evening in November anyway. 20 euros including a half litre of wine...
