The Garden Grille & Bar — Restaurant in Venice

Alright, this review is not exactly for the hotel, Hilton Garden Inn; it is actually a review of the restaurant on the its property.

Tonight, I tried to order a speghetti dish from its menu; but was told that speghetti can not be ordered with sauce served separately!

I have been traveling around the world in the past 20 years or so; this is the very first restaurant that CANNOT cook a speghetti dish with sauce to be separated from the speghetti! Maybe this is the Italian way or the hotel policy, either way, it really does not work for me.

I have a condition that requires low salt diet; and most of the time when I order requesting low salt, it came out too salty for me.

I am not sure what to make out of this. Is it me being to picky or my request is unreasonable? Or is the reataurant lacking...

The Garden Grille is one of the Hilton Garden Inn in-house F&B outlets. We are the buffet breakfast every morning. While tasty and comprises a reasonably wide spread, nevertheless there was not a noticeable change in the offerings.

On our last night, we decided not to go out but to relax and enjoy the dining here.

We had the potato and fennel soup, the grilled swordfish and their cocktail of the day.

The soup was good, the swordfish more to my wife's liking than mine.

I needed dinner starving from a long drive back to Venice. This place delivered promptly and deliciously. I was quickly seated, order taken, and food served. I was able to pay by card and not charge to my room which was fantastic. It’s makes expenses for work much easier!
