If I want a great slice of cake, either a classic (for me as an American) layered cake or a beautifully done cheesecake, I go to Engi’s. If I want a simple but satisfying brunch (again so satisfying to my American idea of brunch and also to my Italian husband) I go to Engi’s. If my husband wants to treat me or cheer me up, he takes me to Engi’s. Yesterday my friends threw me a baby shower and the only request I had was that the cake came from Engi’s! I had been waiting for the occasion that would allow me to get a whole cake in my hands and it did not disappoint. My cake was beautiful to look at and incredibly delicious. I couldn’t have been happier and all of my guests were very impressed…they loved it!! Definitely give their slices, cupcakes and full cakes time to come closer to room temperature before you enjoy them so the frostings are light and fluffy as they are Intended to be. Thank you so much!! (I’ll be back!!)

Un punto di riferimento per il brunch nella zona di Porta Vescovo e Borgo Venezia. La frequento da anni e se si vuole mangiare uova, bacon, o fare un brunch vegano, è ottima. C'è solitamente anche una buona scelta per i celiaci o comunque attenzione a chi ha problematiche o intolleranze alimentari. I dolci sono molto buoni e vengono realizzate torte per le grandi occssioni che sono dei capolavori. Lascio un 4 perchè nell'ultimo periodo hanno diminuito, a mio avviso, l'attenzione alla scelta e alle cotture (si veda il bacon bruciato nella mia foto) e perchè mi è capitata la spiacevole situazione di non poter avere la fattura sui servizi, avendo portato una cliente a una colazione di lavoro. Ammetto anche che ho visto una cominicazione sui social sempre tirata e infastidita, che corrisponde poco alla dolcezza che ho sempre riconosciuto a questo locale. Sono certa che sia il periodo, una riflessione per tutti. Pronta a ricredermi e ad aggiornare, spero presto :).

My wife and I were more than pleased with our wedding cake. Elena is really nice and the communication was great. And the most important: the wedding cake was super delicious. Un punto di riferimento per il brunch nella zona di Porta Vescovo e Borgo Venezia. La frequento da anni e se si vuole mangiare uova, bacon, o fare un brunch vegano, è ottima. C'è solitamente anche una buona scelta per i celiaci o comunque attenzione a chi ha problematiche o intolleranze alimentari. I dolci sono molto buoni e vengono realizzate torte per le grandi occssioni che sono dei capolavori. Lascio un 4 perchè nell'ultimo periodo hanno diminuito, a mio avviso, l'attenzione alla scelta e alle cotture (si veda il bacon bruciato nella mia foto) e perchè mi è capitata la spiacevole situazione di non poter avere la fattura sui servizi, avendo portato una cliente a una colazione di lavoro.
