Having spent 2 weeks in Italy starting a long trip from Napoli, then all the way to the south and then again back to Rome I can comfortably say that this has been one of the best restaurants we have visited but one of the most expensive as well. As I never give 5 stars since it allows no space for improvement this place is a jewel among the casual tired restaurants of the general area. I also observed that locals seem to love this place. This is not a place for the occasional budget tourist so please bare that in mind as well. The restaurant is quite large and WC are clean as a hospital. Not only they provide soap but a moisturiser as well. Attention to detail wins the day. Excellent choice of wine and a wide variety of fish dishes. There are meat dishes as well but somehow limited. Food and Beverage tasted exceptional. Unique taste and worth of every euro you pay. Speed of service is exceptional as well as attitude towards non-Italians. We greatly enjoyed this experience and would surely return. I strongly recommend this restaurant for those who appreciate quality and attention to detail.

We took a short Uber road trip from the lively streets of Tropea to Ristorante L’Approdo in Vibo Valentia—and it was absolutely worth every kilometre. What a hidden gem! Arriving early for our booking (table of 3), we were greeted by a serene and refined setting—a refreshing contrast to the hustle and mayhem of Tropea’s crowds. The restaurant filled up quickly, but the calm atmosphere and attentive service never faltered. The food? Every course lived up to the Michelin recognition. From beautifully balanced entrees to standout mains, each dish was a celebration of local Calabrian ingredients with a sophisticated touch. The seafood was particularly exceptional—fresh, delicate, and expertly prepared. We couldn’t resist trying the desserts, and they didn’t disappoint—elegant, light, and full of flavor. L’Approdo delivers not just a meal, but a truly memorable dining experience. Whether you’re staying in Tropea or exploring Calabria, this restaurant is well worth the detour. Highly recommended.

Caffè non all’altezza!

Solo 7 miseri euri...
