Let's just start by the owner's unprofessional replies to negative ratings. A clear indication that they don't care to please customers, they don't care to know what they do wrong. I was there as a guest, so Thankfully I didn't waste even one euro on this. The food was a true embarrassment to Italian food, hence why I discovered Italians don't eat there. The meat sauce was old and the dish looked like a pile of crap. My friend's pasta dish was greasy, heavy and a total disgrace as well. A kid would have done a better job. Customers aren't greeted. The waitress is rude, rushes people through eating. The tableware is hideous. The place is dated. I totally don't recommend this place, if you're new to Italy, avoid it, as you won't be eating true Italian food. You'll have some americanized version by an arrogant owner who thinks he's a chef. There are actually places in town who serve real excellent Italian food. This is not it, and should be on your list of restaurants to avoid while...
Read moreAfter living in Italy for almost 9 years, this is my favorite place to eat. Cristian is an amazing chef and always has things available that are not in the menu. Every seasonal vegetable is incorporated in to the dishes. The atmosphere is very home like and quaint. It is a small place so it never hurts to call for a reservation. The lunch menu is a great value as you get your primi, secondi, contorno, water and wine all included for a fixed price. (Very cheap and a good way to try new dishes). Everything Cristian uses in his dishes is fresh and locally purchased. They also speak English so you don’t have to worry about making a reservation or ordering from the menu. Also, if you like sweets, the home made Tiramisu is the best!!! I highly recommend a visit...
Read moreThis is not anywhere near a "fancy" restaurant, but if you are looking for good pasta from a varied menu, family owned, great portions at even better prices, you will be hard-pressed to find better. Not a place needing reservations - very small, maybe 10 tables. The owners work hard and deliver a great product. The location is easy walking distance - maybe four minutes - from the Chapel Gate at Caserme Ederle, so there are usually visiting US Soldiers and their families. If you are visiting TDY or in-processing, do yourself a favor and grab a quick dinner here. For the price, I think that you will be back. Say hello to Walter, his wife and their...
