Sushi California — Restaurant in Vicenza

Came here for dinner on a week night, we came early and there were only two tables before us. Food was served quickly after we ordered. You can do the "all you can eat", which is ordering from the menu as much as you want, or a la carte. We looked at the a la carte prices and decided to go with the all you can eat. Beware that desserts and drinks aren't included though.

We ordered mostly raw fish and rolls. We didn't order any of the cooked dishes so can't comment on those. The raw seafood was fresh but taste was mediocre. The portion of the protein on the sushi is minimal with a huge amount of rice. Supposedly they charge for food left uneaten, but I think the disproportionately large amount of rice was just too much for us.

Overall it was okay, not impressive, but the service was decent. They cleared the empty dishes promptly and food arrived quickly after we ordered.

My husband and I came here for lunch. We got to sit outside in a very nice, big area. There were other people, but their table wasn't super close like most sushi places set their tables up. The lunch menu wasn't super big, but there were definitely more than enough options!

The staff was pretty great, minus the one heavy set man. He was kinda rude, but everyone else was great!

The food came out super fast. We didn't even get through half a sushi roll before the rest of our food was coming to the table. I'm not sure why people say it takes forever to get food, but from what we saw and experienced, the staff seemed to be very quick, and they brought food out super quickly despite it being a bit busy! We have been to 4 “all you can eat” sushi restaurants in Vicenza, and this one is by far our favorite. The food is always super fresh and delicious. The food comes out when is ready… so you will get a plate or two within a few minutes of ordering and then have a bit of a wait for more. Sometimes, I’ll get 2 of my rolls before my wife gets any of her food. But, it seems to work like that at every other sushi place so as long as you know this going in, it’s not so bad.
