We just got back from our 2 week honeymoon trip to Italy. It was our first time in Italy and we ate at dozens of restaurants from Florence to the Chianti region, and finally Vicopisano. Of everywhere we ate, this was our favorite. We are there two of the three nights of our stay in town. Tommy and Filippo (and I think there's one other guy running the show who we didn't have the pleasure of meeting) have something really special here. The foods incredible. Unpretentious, but still kinda fancy and incredibly delicious. Also, and this is important, they made us feel so welcome. Whenever I'm abroad and a tourist and I don't speak the language I feel self conscious and worry about being a bother, but Filippo was happy to explain the menu to any and everyone. The prices were also really decent for the amount of food we got. It is a small restaurant with limited amount of tables. I would recommend to make a reservation if you want to be sure to have a table. I can totally recommend this place if you want to eat good food in a restaurant with professional staff...
