Slightly outside of the main square and down a small side street, this place is superb. It’s more competitive here, than in the eateries nearby. Service is fast, courteous, waiting staff are very helpful, but don’t expect them to speak English.

There is also a great picture on the wall from WW1 which was taken in the street outside. If you turn left out of this restaurant, and walk for 100m past the castle wall, there is a signboard which explains the bullet holes in the building ahead of you. It’s worth a short walk...

The owner was quite rude. I don’t know if that’s the way she treats people who aren’t white or if she’s that way with everyone. Gave me the look and asked what I was there for. It’s 2018 ffs.. I guess, at least the people who served weren’t made that way.

La pizza è squisita. Il servizio a dir poco pessimo. Capisco che magari i titolari non abbiano tempo di educare a sufficienza i camerieri, e capisco che magari siano ignari di come si comportano i camerieri se nessuno glielo fa notare. Ma la maleducazione della ragazza che ci ha servito sta sera è a dir poco imbarazzante. A parte che non è mai stata gentile. Ci ha portato le pizze e non ci ha augurato buona cena, neanche rivoto un sorriso. Ho chiesto i condimenti e li ha lasciati sul tavolo scazzata. Ma mi ha lasciata sconvolta che, una volta finita la cena, si sia permessa di toglierci i piatti dal tavolo senza chiedere il permesso. Si è avvicinata come un ladro e ha preso i piatti, nel silenzio più totale. Senza chiedere “posso prendere i piatti?” “Avete finito?” “Tutto a posto?” “Andava tutto bene?” . Se questo è il livello del servizio, tornerò solo per indicare personalmente alla titolare il personale da rieducare...
