I recently stayed in this hotel and the experience was unpleasant. I was part of a group with a reservation of 5 rooms for 4 nights. For one of the rooms, the reservation wasn’t made apparently according to the number of people: the reserved room was for 3 adults, and we were 2 adults and 2 children (6 and 8 years old); Under the current conditions and according to the hotel's policy, I accepted to pay the supplement after discussion with someone from hotel management level which gave me a correct price. Initially, the price received from reception was totally unjustified, unrealistic from my point of view given by the fact that the total amount paid initially for the triple room was 546€ for 4 nights and now only the requested supplement at the reception was ~ 350€.

Once arrived in my room, I noticed that the air conditioning can only be set to heat mode from the reception when you want to increase the room temperature with more than 3 degrees Celsius comparing with room temperature. In my opinion, this is unacceptable for a 4 stars hotel.

At the same time, the room received (an upper one with included supplement) was overlooking the emergency exit (external stairs) where chairs were stored in front of the window (see attached pictures).

During the night outside, a strong light was continuous ON in front of my window (see attached pictures). I reported this problem at reception but without any solution. First feedback was that I have curtains on the window and that I can stay with the covered windows if the light bothers me. Later, a hotel employee came to the room and saw the problem, leaving without any solution without any feedback until I checked out.

Therefore, I can honestly say that this hotel is not oriented towards on...

My boyfriend and I stayed here recently for three nights, reception and bar staff very friendly, rooms are clean and bathrooms are lovely.

However on our second night we visited the hotel restaurant, my boyfriend ordered the Arancini which came out warm on the outside and absolutely frozen solid on the inside. We pointed it out to the waitress when she came over to clear our starters, “okay” is what we got as a response. By the time she did clear our plates the frozen ball of arancini had actually defrosted and was a sopping wet mess on his plate. Bear in mind there was two other tables in at the time, they were not swamped.

We might have been able to over look this as we came in at 9:15, 45 minutes before the restaurant closed. Maybe the kitchen staff were tired at this point, but we had also asked for water twice which we didn’t receive, we asked for chips with our main courses which came out before the starters even landed, we also received complimentary bread, we had asked for oil which came over 9 whole minutes after the bread did. By this time there was no bread left!

By then we were sitting there uncomfortable and extremely unhappy with our meal so far. We cancelled our main courses and left, we made a complaint at reception to which was responded to very well. They had it taken of our bill.

I am a waitress myself. I understand sometimes these things are out of control. But for a 4 star hotel we were absolutely not expecting this kind of service and food to be even displayed at all. Very disappointing and we will definitely not be returning...

A Very Pleasant Stay at Ethneo Lounge Bar, Milan 🇮🇹

I had a truly heartwarming and pleasant experience during my stay at Ethneo Lounge Bar in Milan, Italy. What made it special wasn’t just the ambience (which is great!) — it was the staff’s flexibility, kindness, and personal attention that really touched me.

As a vegetarian traveling abroad, I often face food-related challenges. I’m not vegan, but I don’t eat meat or eggs — I’m okay with dairy like cheese and milk. On the first day, I struggled to find something I could eat for breakfast, but the staff personally guided me, explained what I could have, and even prepared a special carrot cake and croissant just for me. 🥕🥐

They even let me take some fruits with me since I don’t eat much in the early morning. That willingness to bend the rules just to make me feel comfortable truly meant a lot.

As an Indian tourist, charging ports are another issue — but even there, they helped by providing chargers and extension cables, saving me from spending on something I won’t need later. That kind of thoughtful service makes all the difference.

Ethneo Lounge Bar gave me more than a stay — it gave me a feeling of being cared for. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for genuine hospitality, comfort, and warmth. 💛

Rooms are really clean. Room 4 on the ground floor is small but spotless. Mini bar: €4 for water & coke. Local Market nearby, only 7 min walk for cheaper snacks to bring back to your room. Half wardrobe space (one person really) but this did not affect our stay. Power shower AMAZING! Also has a bidet for that extra private freshener, that comes with genital sachets. Milan City Centre is 2 hours walk away. Great on way there. Advice would be to get the M3 train to Zara, then get the 166 bus back to the hotel. All can be found on Google maps. It's tap & pay on buses and is a flat rate €2.20. €2.30 for trains. Mucher cheaper than €27 taxi which you get your change back, So €30 Lol. Breakfast at the hotel is lovely. Really enjoyed exploring the Italian food and was able to refil my water bottle. If your in town and need a wee, it's cheaper to go the underground:€1 & well worth it! Smells nice & clean. Back to the hotel they request photos of your passport and credit card details for insurance purposes. It's €2 per adult per night upon checkout, which I think is cheeky, given that we've already paid to stay there. Poor view from small window. It was better to keep curtains shut. But, lovely bar area, restaurant, dog friendly and friendly service. We have not come across any moody staff. There's also a Primark in City Centre. Best do shops early as get chokka.

Nice and very quiet hotel. We had a room on the ground floor facing patio. No even slight noise from cars, very pieceful. Pros: - Everyday cleaning, fresh towels, making bed etc. - Big shower cabin. - Water pressure is enough for jet car washing. - There are comfortable rattan furniture on the patio where you can chill. - Excellent internet connection. Even good for competitive gamers or Netflix 4K lovers 😅. For more details have a look at one of my photos. There is speed test result, although mind that I tested it in the middle of March when there are not that many guests. Cons: - Paint definitely need some refreshment. - View from our room wasn't exciting at all but it's understandable on a ground floor. Have a look at pics 😑 - It wouldn't hurt if wardrobe will be equipped with some doors 😏 - Room is pretty small Little bit of both: - Heating is working perfectly, but cooling is not. It's not a problem in March and it might be just deactivated for cooler months - that's only my guess. - There is no "only fan/ventilation mode". Window can be opened so this shouldn't be a deal breaker. - There are bus stops nearby, but trip to city center may take up to 40-60 mins Overall very positive 👍 If you think this review is valuable don't forget to click a thumb up button 😇
