Unbelievable little restaurant. Wonderful experience. Very friendly, only Japanese spoken, but that's no problem, if you are no vegetarian. Only one set menu available, with 6-7 courses. The only decision to take is between beer or Shochu. Great local food. Really special. Really comfortable atmosphere as well. And the Shochu (local Sake version) is very good. Google says it opens at 6, we were there just past 5 - just to take look - and we're very warmly welcomed in. At 6 the small place was packed. So early arrival might be advised, reservations (als in japanese) are not possible. Just show up and enjoy this...

There is a set menu that covers: great variety of local dishes, fresh vegetables, pork/chicken and fish with a local dessert made from sugar cane. Everything was simply delicious and served very well.
We’ve had a great time and I got quite amazed with a very curious owner that is still running this place for 25+ years. Fantastic.

I realized after I made a couple food culture etiquette mistakes and I hope they will forgive me! They even gave me a little sake shot to take home with me as a treat!
