ガスト 旭川旭町店 — Restaurant in Asahikawa

My 5th or 6th time here already and the first time ordered dessert only, because I had no plan of visiting Gust but the free drink bar service & refill was undeniable. They updated the menu, so instead of having to look through a huge printed menu, you can make your order easily with the tablet placed on table now. Just choose your food from the sorted menu (different languages available), and use the coupon codes if you had without having to ask for the staffs to get it done. So I ordered a soft serve of anmitsu with uji matcha sauce helped myself from the drink bar with vanilla matcha latte, then honey & milktea vanilla latte. Refill is also free so this was absolutely a valuable option. I ordered my take-out right during dining so that it'd be available right away when I pay, which was a frozen chicken and the staff even gave me a print of guide on how to cook it right. Neat...

as far as cafes go it is what you would expect, relatively clean, staff helpful when asked anything was studying and needed a pencil and they obliged even though it was not a normal request, having them try to help with this made me quite happy. the food is nothing special especially for the price. The real winner here is it is a great place to study or bring a laptop and do work for a few hours. I had the pizza and it was pretty good, not a fan of the other westernized food here. 旭川にはスカイラークグループのファミレスがかなり進出してる。その中でもガストはかなり前からあるお店。旭町と豊岡店。数年前に唐揚げのから好しメニューも食べられる様になった。さらに猫型ロボットの導入もかなり早かった。休日は朝から晩までかなり混んでいるが、お好きな席にお座りくださいの札が立っている。ロボット導入でアルバイトの数も減らしているから接客まで手が回らないんだろうな。さて、ガストはチーズインハンバーグは当たり前で美味しい。しかしそのほかのメニューは美味しかったりそれなりだったり。今回は焼きなべかれーうどんを頂く。うどん系は半玉入ってる牛チゲもありそちらは以前食べた時に美味しかったので期待したが、カレーが微妙に薄かった。うどんは細いタイプだったがもっちりはしてた。でも量はチョッと少なめ。ライスと共に食べたがあまり相性は良く無い感じかな。もう少し濃さがあれば良かったかもしれないね。とは言ってもファミレスの味は昔から比べたら半端なく美味くなったなー。そして、入店から退店まで店員と絡まずに帰ることも多くなった。勝手に座りテーブルでPayPay会計、伝票を箱に入れて帰る。...
