We arrived on the 31st of December 2024, the day the restaurant closed for eat-in and only accepted delivery order. We didn't know that when we went there and was initially rejected. While we we considering other restaurants, which was really hard to find at the time because many restaurants in Japan would usually close during the last and the first day of the year, the chief changed his mind and accepted us. We were very grateful for that, and the food was very delicious. The restaurant was fairly generous since we also got 2 extra deep-fried oysters since the restaurant was closing, and they were gonna be leftover anyway. At the entrance, there were plenty of seats and only a single customer at the counter bar, this might because it was a Sunday night.
I got a warmed welcome by the female server, which I think she was also a co-owner, and her English is good! She describes all the food and provided the useful information. So this is the foreigner-friendly restaurant, which is very rare to find anywhere in Japan!
