This hawaiian styled cafe-diner is a must have when visiting or passing through Ayase city. The restaurant itself offers a comfortable and visibly pleasing aesthetic full of cool road signs and lounge chairs. If seated near the window side of the building, during the day you can get a perfect view of Mount Fuji in all of its glory as well as the mountain range surrounding it. The service here is always phenomenal! The staff here are so friendly and helpful any day of the week. They cook the best Hawaiian food I've ever had here in Japan and that's not to mention the coffee! The coffee is perfect every time. I typically get the coffee of the day which is different each time, but as someone who drinks coffee frequently and in any fashion, I will say it's among my top ten favorites. If you are unsure what to get it's probably because it's all so good! I recommend the honey mustard chicken and pancakes or the chicken caesar salad with pancakes, my personal favorites. The atmosphere here is good for all types of groups as well, families, friends, or couples. I'll wrap this up, it's a top notch restaurant and probably the best one in...

The food is amazing! The pancakes are fluffy and filling and are the standard we use to determine the quality of breakfast foods at most other restaurants.
The burgers are also excellent and have a great variety of flavors blended very well.
The coffee is also brewed exceptionally well but that's hard to draw a comparison as most of the coffee we get at most restaurants is also great.
Honestly, the only downside for Kona's is the wait time. Sometimes the wait is very short and we're sitting within 10 minutes, but other times, it can stretch to an hour or longer.
Overall, I recommend this place to literally anyone willing to make the...
Read moreThe Hawaiian theme is very cute, though the tables could be a bit higher. It's a little difficult sitting with the tables being so low. Feels like sitting on kiddo tables. The garlic shrimp with fries was delicious. The eggs Benedict needed some more flavor. The loco moco wasn't the traditional Hawaiian flavor that I'm used to. This had some teriyaki twist to the sauce which isn't really my liking. It was still good and others might prefer that, but I personally like the actual Hawaiian way. Service a bit slow. Prices are very decent. I'd still come back. I heard their...
