I wish I could rate more for this place. This is a true hidden gem in Beppu.

We ordered grilled meat set where the chef brings out charcoal grill for your table. Absolutely amazing quality and flavor from the charcoal.

The atmosphere is picturesque, as you're located outside in the middle of the mountain with incredible river view.

The lady owner was one of the kindest and sweetest person I've met on this trip. Her service was quick and thorough, she even brought a cooling fan to us because it was humid and hot. They also gave us some free service dishes (catfish sashimi, whole mackerel, wild ginseng tea) to try out, which I found incredibly delicious on its own.

When we found the place we were a little bit surprised, kinda lost. But the experience we had for lunch was such a tremendous good surprise.

As mentioned from the other reviews, the lady owner is wonderful, like nothing to envy from the service you get from those 3 stars michelin. The smile she has makes whatever she serves an immense joy to eat even when you are bad at bbq and overcooking everything.

This place is not just about food but a lesson of generosity and hospitality.

A must come cafe in Beppu!! Easy access by bus (5 min walk uphill after bus but it us worth it) and close to Hoyoland, and Myoban Onsen. The staff was very polite and sweet. The water in footbath was just the right temperature. They even have goats on the property! We had the nikuman and it was very fresh...
