UDO — Restaurant in Bizen

I had the BLT Egg sandwich and a cup of hot coffee. The sandwich was the best sandwich I have had in years. This includes ones that I have made at home. The coffee was quality coffee. It was a roast midway between first and second crack so had some of the acidity that some enjoy. It is perhaps my least favorite roast but it was, all in all, a great cup of coffee. Others in our party raved about the food. The prices were about 800 yen including coffee and a small salad, the service was fast. It is right in the train station and there is free parking. UDO is a great asset for the small, traditional pottery village of Bizen. Delicious, slow-pour-over coffee served with sandwiches & cakes on Bizen pottery in a stylish remodeled station room. The coffee and cake here was super delicious and served on local Bizen ware. The coffee was tasty so I also bought a few extra drip-filter bags as omiyage.

It’s right inside the train station so very convenient if you are coming or going. The station also has a few coin lockers in case you are looking around Bizen.
