This is my favorite place to get fresh chewy dense bagels on the island! Japanese bagels are slightly different than American style bagels—these are more chewy and dense than the American bagels, and don’t have the same type of “crunch” factor when toasted. Those aren’t negatives in the slightest, but it’s a different type of bagel texture.
Their selection is large and they have clear English and Japanese signs indicating which is which. You really can’t go wrong with any of their selections!
You get to watch them make the breads and bagels fresh, and you can tell the freshness, care, and quality of the breads just by the texture, smell, and taste. Very high quality fresh work being done!
Personal recommendations are: Strawberry Craisin Bagel, Soyflour Bagel, Ginger Mochi Bun, Rin’s Tail (A chocolate and Custard Creme bun in the shape of a Corgi’s butt), and the Bacon and Cheese Breakfast Bread-roll.
Cash or Card accepted. Everyone is very friendly and kind, and they work well with Americans. The vending machine outside works all day and is a fun kitschy experience! You will not be...
Read moreThe staff is so nice. There are a few things that we have tried that we did not like. The seaweed on the egg salad sandwich was SO salty that I could not eat it and the scones were too dry (I know a lot of people eat them with coffee or tea but still too dry for our taste). But they have some AMAZING things that male it worth going! The bagels and specialty cream cheese are SO delicious. The cinnamon rolls are really good. The thin cookies made from melon pan dough were yummy and crisp. They almost reminded me of pizelles. There is a caramel top bun thing with custard that is one of my favorites. And a chocolate filled thing that was soft and sweet. My boys like the bacon/egg toast as well. We love...
Read moreReally good breakfast place for take out. Gets crowded in the morning and there’s not that much seating but it’s close to the beach so you can walk and eat it there. I had the Bacon & Egg and the Toast. The Bacon & Egg was as really good, the bacon was like Canadian bacon and the egg was cooked perfectly to eat with your hand, not runny to make a mess. The Toast was Canadian Bacon, Cheese, Broccoli, and Mini Hot Dogs. The coffee is pretty good too. There’s a window where you can see them making everything inside. They also have a vending machine with bagels outside which I thought was cool. Definitely would recommend trying this place out. I’ll be going back to try their...
