Hotel & Restaurant Shii no ki — Restaurant in Chosei

(日本語は英語の下です)the place seemed kind of understaffed since the staff was literally running around the entire time that I was sitting there, and it took like 4 minutes to get a refill on my water. (Not a complaint, but I want to paint a good picture).

I don’t think you’ll get very far if you don’t speak Japanese, because the menu and staff were definitely only capable of Japanese. (Again, not a complaint because this is Japan so I don’t expect them to accommodate English, and I can speak Japanese. But I want English only speakers to be prepared).

The food tasted good, but to be realistic, I spent 1500¥ on something that in English translates to “the carbonara everyone loves”. The Carbonara That Everyone Loves was spaghetti noodles drenched in macaroni and cheese sauce, with freshly grounded pepper on top. I love Mac and cheese so this was fine for me, but if you see something labeled “みんな大好きカルバネラ”, and you don’t want Mac and cheese, you should order something...

繁忙期に生憎の雨でテラスが使えずテイクアウトでピザ、シーフードサラダ、他注文しました。 シーフードは味音痴の旦那が「冷凍のシーフードミックスやな」って笑ってました。水っぽく臭みがあり不味くて一口で断念。もう少しマシなシーフードミックス使って下さいな。 ピザ生地も塩辛いです。 一見美味しそうなブルケッタのトマトもプチトマトとかでなく安物の普通の味。 バケットも冷凍？小麦の香りがせずパサパサ、中央はトマトの水分で笑うしかないほどベチャベチャでした。テイクアウトなので仕方ないのか？角切りチーズもお世辞にもモッツァレラの味はしなかったです。 口コミで選んだ店でしたが店舗での写真のエビは大きく見えたし美味しそうなのでテイクアウトが駄目なのか？ 繁忙期が駄目なのか？ 店舗でもサラダがシーフードミックスなのか知りませんがチェーン店のテイクアウトのが美味しいです。 誕生日だ...
