If you’re looking for the best “houtou” in Yamanashi Prefecture, I highly recommend this restaurant. The food, the place, the service and the relaxing ambience of this restaurant would be perfect for Japanese and foreigners. The food: There are 3 kinds. The houtou which is soooo good! The Japanese rice which is cooked perfectly and “the stir fried spicy greens “ which is a good match for the rice. The place: I fell in love with it . The moment you enter its parking area down to its garden and inside the restaurant itself you would feel the Japanese ambiance. My brother and his wife from Australia were mesmerized with the structure and displays as it looked like a typical Japanese restaurant of olden days. The service:: Excellent!!! My brother ordered the stir fried spicy greens and we ( me and my sister in law) didn’t order as we didn’t want to eat rice for diet purposes 😂 but we were served for a trial tasting. Very considerate. In fairness , it was good!!! We wanted to bring some home but we could only order it for dine in. We were also served some sweet kiwi fruit harvested in Yamanashi that was free of charge. I forgot my mobile phone and the owner was so kind to send it back to me through express mail free of charge with a letter of apology enclosed although it was my fault. I was so impressed on how they value and accommodate their customers. I would definitely go back to...
Read moreAbsolutely beautiful, delicious, and delightful place to get houtou noodles!! The ingredients were all of high quality and tasted AMAZING! The pumpkin tasted so good and I can't find any else like it... The soup was very rich too! Much better than other houtou restaurants.
The service was great too! We had some meticulously sliced mandarins on the house :) but do note that this store only accepts cash.
The restaurant is in an old but well-maintained and clean traditional Japanese house with many interesting decor to feast your eyes on too! There is some parking available and the place is surrounded by peach & grape farms.
Lovely place, would definitely...

For me, so far it is the best place to eat...
