Seiryutei @ Saiko Fujikawaguchiko
💭Atmosphere: While visiting the ancient but well preserved farming village of Saiko Iyashi No Sato Nenba (Healing Village) now an open air museum and craft village, we walked into a traditional Japanese restaurant that serves regional dishes. Inside it’s very cosy with the heater turned on, wooden structures and a stunning view of Mount Fuji from a distance.
Service: We don’t speak Japanese but we just pointed at the picture and the server understands. Great hospitality across Japanese restaurants.
Food: Ordered a set of daifuku (glutinous rice dessert. I found the sweet soy sauce very flavorful) paired with matcha (green tea), amazake (sweet warm sake only found during winter. No photos) , water manjyu (made of kuzu starch and red bean paste) and oden.
