Surprisingly delicious and really filling Japanese restaurant right by the bus stop. It was super quiet as we went on a weekday in early January... we were probably the only customers of the day.. business must be really suffering because of covid so we were happy to support!! There was a decent range of dishes available as well as cafe options too. We got a variety of noodle dishes that were prepared really quickly and were full of flavour, with really decent prices too! Lots of vegetables with our udon!! Every dish pictured was under 900 yen. We’re got green mochi for dessert which was nice and warm too! The old lady running it was really kind and was very informative about bus times. A lot of famous people have visited the restraint and it has been featured on national TV as well. Although we are not Muslim, it was awesome to see halal options and a dedicated prayer space! Closing time is 3pm on weekdays.

Had a couple of stuff including take away. Had halal ramen which was delicious after trying to find halal ramen for so long. Had take out of yakinku with rice and chicken hamburg, which both is halal. Scrumptious dinner despite take away. Food was excellent, owners were friendly and helpful. Theres a prayer space for you, but for women, pls bring your telekong ok. Food was brilliant. I cant imagine eating this kind of original japanese foof when im back in singapore. 10/10 would eat here again.

This spot was recommended by my local tourist guide during our visit to Oshino Hakkai. He recommended us to eat the wheat noodles with miso soup topped with vegetables. Miso broth was rich and tasty hot. Good comfort to eat during winter time. This shop is also a Halal shop which is muslim friendly spot to dine in. There’s also a prayer room here.

I didn’t go to this shop specifically but before you discredit me I went to the vendor NEXT to it (which isn’t listed on google maps). I was with a tour group and in my free time I went to this vendor. The older man working there was SO kind and spoke english fairly well (I think, I didn’t use english). I bought chicken nuggets (I forgot what they were called, it started with a “Kar” I think) and they were SO GOOD. Perfectly seasoned and very tender. I bought just a small 600¥ box and completely for free they gave me the cutest insulating Sanrio bag, they had us sit down at a wood table outside, and brought me ice water. Two of my friends joined me and he brought them ice water too without us asking. They were so sweet and hospitable. The food was AMAZING and we had a great view of the scenery from our table. If I come to this village again, this is the first place I’m...

They stated they have halal menu, but I actually wonder if it is truly halal? We gave them the Islamic greeting but they didn't answer. And we asked if they were Muslim, they said no. There was a language barrier, so we didnt ask too much detail.

No hate, just genuinely curious. Perhaps the owner can reply to this review and clarify? Is the meat sourced from halal sources and what are the practices in place to ensure there are no cross contamination with non halal meat? Are there any alcohol used in any of their dishes, and if so, are the same pots and pans used to cook the halal...
