Sushi Hana — Restaurant in Fujiyoshida

Table was booked by a colleague, dinner for 5 person. Staff was friendly and fast service. Cozy and comfortable place.

We started with a refreshing appetizer; seaweed, vinegar and some golden flakes mixed ini a small bowl. Tastes very unique.

Other foods worth mentioning are the:-

1. Tuna steak - perfectly grilled, juicy.
2. Chawanmushi - contains plum, gingko, smooth and tasty
3. Sushi - sea urchin and ebi sushi 10/10
4. sweet potato ice cream

Highly recommended for those looking for a unique sushi/japanese...

If you want to get away from Overtourism central and have a meal off the beaten path, this is it.

Theyr specialty is unagi. The fish was expertly roasted, and the rice bread under it was excellent as well. We ordered a few sushi pieces, à la carte, and all of the tuna pieces that we ordered. (toro, chutoto otoro) were excellent as well.

The restaurant is staffed with a bunch of seniors that were extremely happy that we found the place and were extremely patient while we navigated using translation...

We enjoyed the don and hospitality of this place. We suspect this is quite local as there weren't other tourist around. Traditional decor with good sashimi. Free parking just outside and free dessert and tea at the end of your meal. We had no issue communicating despite the lack of English menu so it's great if you would like to go off the usual...
