It's a Starbucks. Same coffee you can get anywhere else in the world. It's not my favorite, but I prefer it over 70 -80% of other places, so it's better than a flipping a coin.
The reason for the five stars is the view. I took two of the photos from their parking lot (or basically from their outdoor sitting area; there are excellent view of the mountain from inside as well). The other, as you can see, is from down the street.
I spent ten days in town and walked all over as well as to the nearby Chureito pagoda and Kawaguchiko. For me, this place offers one of the best views of Fuji-san. Walking all the way up the street toward the mountain and taking arbitrary side streets merits even better views. But I much prefer the view from this Starbucks over the view from afar, such as from Lake Kawaguchi or the Pagoda. There's such a power and presence from up-close that you don't get when you're so far away such as at the aforementioned tourist sites.
Note: both the lake and pagoda are swamped with tourists since everyone's out to get picturesque, instagrammable photos. Here, you're likely to meet none because it's out of the way. ...
Read moreThe Starbucks of Mt. Fuji. There are souvenir cups and tumblers as part of the "Been There Series" Across The Globe Collection to buy as a memorable gift of Mt. Fuji. The day we went, Mt. Fuji was clouded and cannot be seen from the shop at all. The shop is too small for a famous Starbucks which is packed with tourists. Too few outdoor seats. The parking spot was enough, at the time we visited at least.

Shop is very clean and aesthetic, warm to stay in when it’s cold outside. Dine in and drive through is available hence all 5 staffs very busy when its friday 3pm.
