It was a feeble typhoon day, so a bit cloudy, a bit rainy. A million and one dragonflies (“tombo” in Japanese) hovered outside the windows, proof that the air quality was good. We sat at the long table in the center of the main room...sixteen seats for 4.5 customers. Other customers included a geeky girl and her dorky chimp, three fat ladies, a young family (the mother told nay-san to sit looking straight ahead instead of craning her neck), a single guy using his laptop, and a single woman reading a book. There was another room with comfy sofas and a low table, but they hadn’t bused the dishes, so we didn’t sit in there. How about the food? Typical Japanese bakery fare, a lot of pseudo-breadlike creations with all sorts of fillings, not one single loaf of pure bread. I had some iced coffee, which was nice but pricey.
