10/10. Literally the best udon I've had in my entire life. I ate the burdock tempura and beef udon. Udon was very soft and tender but does not feel like it is soggy / left to soak for too long. Flavour was overall very well balanced. The soup was not overly salty. The sweetness of the beef complemented the soup very well. The crispiness of the burdock was a welcoming change of texture.
There was a short queue outside when I went but it clears pretty fast, as it's not exactly the kind of place to sit and have a long catch-up and everyone eats quickly and leaves. The staff will call you in. Once inside, put money into the ticket machine, press the button for whatever you want to order, and pull the "change return" lever to return whatever balance is left from the money you put inside.
My only regret was not ordering the chicken rice, which I saw many locals eating.
