King Tacos Kiyuna Branch — Restaurant in Ginowan

My all time favorite, every trip to Okinawa is not complete without king tacos in Okinawa. The OGs of all taco rice in my opinion! & they sell tacos and taco burger too!

We usually get taco rice and tacos, felt like it is the works.

It always comes with so much ingredients when you do the take away that even the container cannot contain all the ingredients into a pack.

What makes them different is their taco rice is much more pillowy than other places we have tried, the taco meat is spiced just at the right amount of flavour, it has a bit of a kick but not overpowering, as I said earlier they are so generous with the fresh and crunchy chopped lettuce with the juicy tomato slices, pair it with their secret salsa, match made in heaven. It is such a comfort food after a long day of visiting to the beach and doing some site seeing, I pretty much love it for lunch, dinner or supper LOL

My favorite besides the taco rice is the tacos, again what makes them different is their taco shells is of a thinner layer, less doughy, and the crunch taste so good with the taco meat and veges, it feel like you have a very satisfying bowl of taco salad. There are also other items in the menu, like burgers and fries, but honestly, stick to the OGs items, you will not go wrong, they also have many branches as well, I did try to order through Uber Eats when we were craving for it for one night, but unfortunately they don’t, guess make sense if you want to uphold that quality and they are ever shortage of customers too. The one we use to visit was in Futemba but they have moved and their popularity and the continuous flow of customers just tell you how good they are no matter where they are located.

New location near Foster off of Route 81. It's not on the main road, so pay attention when driving. Your order is placed by machine, give your ticket to the Staff and let them know if it's for dine in or take out. There's a few varieties to choose from. The Staff is friendly and your order will come out quickly if you dine in. Take out takes a little longer. The Taco Rice and the tacos taste good. They give you a lot of rice, lettuce, cheese and one slice of tomato on top.

The atmosphere is old school with old looking furniture. It's a little different than normal restaurants. The parking in front is for Kei cars only. There are around 6 parking slots for normal sized cars in the side of the vehicle. Be careful waking to the restaurant, the street can be busy.

Great place to stop and pick up tacos to go. Fairly cheap too— 800 yen for four good tacos. Actually they have very good tacos here. They are different tacos (Okinawa style) than what I am used to (coming from Texas), but these are good tacos nonetheless.

The taco sauce was initially a little sweet for my taste- almost like ketchup (I typically like spicy hot sauce), but now I like their taco sauce.

Another thing I like about King Tacos is that their food tastes very fresh. I especially like their tortilla shells and how they shred their lettuce. I never thought I’d appreciate lettuce so much but you will after eating at King Tacos.
