Hako Shokudo — Restaurant in Hachinohe

A lovely little seafood spot in north east Hachinohe!

I was recommended this place by a friend. The ramen especially, and the fact that it's seafood ramen. Some of their dishes offer uni (sea urchins). Which is pretty tasty!

Walking in, the interior is cute and cozy. If it's not busy, you could have a seat at the tatamis mat area. Service was quick and friendly.

八戸で出会った、極上のウニ丼！

初めての八戸旅行で、地元の友人にすすめられて平日のお昼に訪問。ウニ丼とウニらーめんのセットを注文しました。

ウニらーめんは塩ベースで、ラーメンとしては美味しかったですが、ウニ感はやや控えめ。個人的には、ウニ丼のウニをもっとたっぷり食べたかったかも。

でも、さすが海の近く！ウニ丼のウニは臭みが一切なく、本当に新鮮でとろける美味しさ。これだけでも食べに行く価値ありです。

また行きたいと思えるお店ですが、ちょっと遠いのが悩ましいところ。でも機会があればぜひ再訪したい一軒です！

Incredible uni rice bowl—worth the trip to Hachinohe!

I visited on a weekday afternoon during my first trip to Hachinohe, following a local friend’s recommendation. I ordered the uni rice bowl and uni ramen set.

The ramen had a nice light salt-based broth and was tasty overall, but the uni flavor wasn’t especially strong. I kind of wished I had more uni in the rice bowl instead!

That said, the uni in the rice bowl was absolutely amazing—super fresh with no trace of fishiness, and it just melted in the mouth. Definitely the highlight of the meal.
