Pleasant enough, but I’m not sure if I’d wait 70mins for this, which I did this afternoon. Despite being a casual setting, customers take their time, hence the 3 groups before me taking so long.
Food-wise: the braised items (komochi yari ika, shako) were overcooked, having a rough and powdery texture in parts, although the flavour was decent. The recommended trout didn’t have much of a flavour or texture, unfortunately. That said, the tsubugai and sujiko were nice, and the uni from Ogawa was a decent quality for the price.
Overall it was a decent meal, but I’m not sure if it’s worth queueing if you’re also visiting any big city in Japan with good access to sushi. I just enjoyed Senreizushi in Sendai just two days back, which I thought had significantly better neta for a similar price point...

The day there was a drunk customer who was eating as well. This caused some disturbance, but the owner was overly tolerant and only asked him to leave after he had finished eating. One of the female customers experienced distress and eventually cried afterwards.
