Komeda's Coffee — Restaurant in Handa

This is not a family friendly place. Don’t let the four chairs and a table for you.

We were there with our 3 1/2 year-old boy who is putting together his little dinosaur toys. In less than 3-4 minutes after we sat down, a Japanese old man came by and told us to be quiet. He said it in a rather rude way, which made us feel very unpleasant, even to my Japanese husband. This was a surprise. What did we do?

The server hadn’t even come back to our table to get our order, but we decided to leave. We ordered a takeout and ate our breakfast in the parking lot.

こちらのコメダさんの店舗は初来店、アイスコーヒーでモーニングをいただきました。最近ジワジワ色んなものが値上がりしていますが、アイスコーヒーも４８０円とほぼ一杯５００円というのはちょっと高い気がしちゃいますね。（ランチで１コインのお弁当が食べられたり、二杯分ならしっかりした定食のお店で食べられる事を考えると）確かに原材料費や光熱費など年々物価が上がってるのは確かですが、コーヒー１杯の原価的に考えると高い設定だなと感じます。もちろんコーヒーの原価だけではなく、サービスとはいえモーニングの材料費や快適な場所の提供、またコメダさんはキャッシュレス可というこうした喫茶店では導入が少ない幅広い支払い方法が可能なので当然そうした手数料等のコストも含まれ、またここまで多店舗展開されてきたネームバリュー的な価値も含めての設定だとは思いますが、地方にある店舗であれば４００円～４００円前半位が妥当かな。なので比較すると５０円ほど高いイメージですね。ただキャッシュレス可という理由だけで選択する事があるのも事実。残念だった点としては入店時に消毒済みプレートが置いてあったものの、おもいっきりゆで卵で利用したであろう塩が散乱しておりました。確かに見る角度によっては塩の散乱は見難かったかも知れませんが、こういう時期だからこそしっかりテーブルは全部拭く感じで行ってほしいものですね。もちろんすぐ店員さんに声を掛け拭き直してもらいましたが、消毒済みプレー...
