Western food restaurant Maeda — Restaurant in Hida

We came across this restaurant on our visit to Hida Furukawa. Set in a typical Japanese style dining area with shoes off on the Tatami mats. We hit the jackpot. The food was outstanding, the presentation on the plate was of the highest order and so eye appealing the food exceeded all expectations. Doesnt look like much from the outside, but this is a delicious true japanese restaurant. Delicious food, very nice service. The establishment is hold by an old couple, very smiling are awesome cooks ! I strongly recommand this restaurant. The prices seems high (because of the high quality meat), but they also have couple meals that are not expensive at all...

We randomly dropped by this restaurant and were amazed by the quality of the food and the level of service. Even our kids, who are used to their French mom's cooking, rated this place as the best restaurant they've been...
