This African-French restaurant was really good. It was super authentic in terms of the flavors and cooking methods. It would have been a perfect five stars but due to the owner being a little stand offish it didn’t give the place a welcoming feeling. However, you can tell he really enjoys cooking and seeing people eat his food.

With covid measure he can’t seat as many people the restaurant actually could fit, but he has a take out option it seems. For two people we didn’t spend over ¥3,000. Everything was given in courses which was also nice. However, something I noticed is that he offered another couple dessert and coffee after their meal, but didn’t offer my party anything. This is another reason why I’m given the restaurant only four stars.

Another small note, outside of the African decor, it seems the owner likes anime. He was wearing a Jojo shirt the day we went there and he had some smaller anime posters near...

An African-French restaurant located central Himeji! It has unique menu items such as ostrich , crocodile and guinea fowl! I, myself had the ostrich with couscous, my friends had a course which included ostrich, crocodile and guinea fowl each prepared differently!

From a lil research this seems to be the only African-French restaurant in all of Hyogo prefecture to have these menu items at pretty reasonable prices (mains range from 1000-2500 yen) it also is a pretty accessible restaurant (7 mins from Himeji station by foot) .

The chef actually worked within embassies in both Zimbabwe and Ghana and definitely knows his stuff!!

In addition one can also request for halal options (you got to phone beforehand) . There is an English...

ヤフーの兵庫県ニュースにアフリカ料理が食べられるお店として紹介されていました。シェフは最初は癖が強いと感じますが、話すと人柄の良い気さくな方だと分かります。元公邸料理人でフレンチの技法を使ってアフリカ料理を食べやすくアレンジされているそうです。コンセプトはアフリカに流れ着いたフランス人の作った料理だそうです。4,000円のゼブラコースをいただきました。 まずはサラダと前菜の見事な仕上がりに感動します。新鮮な野菜の上に牛、豚、鴨のロースト、キノコ(鶏のテリーヌ)、エビ、卵焼きです。次はジャガイモとパプリカの冷製スープ、下に冷水が入れられた透明の器で最後まで温度が変わらずに口当たりの良いスープをいただきました。 次はホタテのカレーリゾットです。こんなにたくさんのホタテが！と思うほど濃厚なリゾットです。薄くカレー味にしてあり食べやすいです。次はワニのソテーです。体長170cmほどのワニの尾の肉を使っているそうです。キノコやナス、そしてほんのり酸味の効いたソースで食べると食感は豚トロのようで味は鶏肉のような不思議な感じの美味しさが口いっぱいに広がりました。はっきり言ってうまいです。 デザートはケニアの家庭の味マンダジ(カルダモンを練り込んだドーナッツ)とバニラアイス(ミント添え)です。ドリンクはルイボスティーを選びました。鼻から抜けるカルダモンの心地よい香りとバニラアイスがマッチして、それをルイボスティーが流し込むという感じです。ルイボスティーはポットで提供されるので一杯目はストレートで、2杯目はフレッシュと砂糖を入れてまろやかにいただきました。 評価の高さからも分かるようにどの料理も抜群の美味しさです。ディナーは2,000円〜4,000円のコースですが、ぜひ4,000円のゼブラコースをおすすめします。今回は1人でしたが2人で注文できるペアセットもあります。ダチョウのサラダも美味しそうだったの...
