Himejien — Attraction in Himeji

I left another review from the other store that they have on the other side of the street.

When we were walking from the castle to the station my girlfriend and I saw a symbol that was the same from the store that we stopped at in the morning, store where I got an amazing shirt so, we entered in this one and what a surprise.

The owner of the brand and the 2 stores was the one managing this store and he was the designer of the clothes too!!. He was super cool and kind and another surprise is that he is also an artist. He showed us his process and his paintings and also was super excited when we told him the place where we were from.

I ended up buying a haori with a super cool design.

Both stores in this street from this brand are amazing and I'm not joking when I say that, this is a motive enough for me to visit...

A Hidden Jem in Himeji City

Walked pass a clothing store on the way to Himeji Castle and the banner in front of the store immediately caught my eyes.

Need not to mention that the clothing design is uniquely fabulous, but also the staff, Hiramatsu is very passionated explaining the meanings behind the designs. He himself is also an artist and he has a gorgeous painting proudly hanging on the wall in the store, too.

Definitely a one and only store, whoever comes to Himeji must totally check it out yourself as they don’t sell online! That’s probably the meaning of the store name, Himejien, 姫路緣, a fate or luck in meeting each other by chance.

This is a souvenir shop that you should visit when you come to Japan! I once accompanied a friend of mine who was purchasing a painting by the owner of this store. It is a souvenir shop, and there were many very cool products, including traditional Japanese style clothes with a modern twist! It was very interesting to hear that the owner of this store not only sells clothes, but is also an artist himself, and has held many successful solo exhibitions in Paris and abroad.
