Kineya Honten — Restaurant in Himeji

It was an extremely hot and sunny day here in Himeji and we found this shop for us to stop by for a city famous almond toast and their sweets. The owner is from his grand-grand parents and it’s such a pleasure meeting him in there as well. The cafe is very classic and we had the almond toast and a dessert along with a coffee, he even treated us a drink too, thank you so much!!!! We recieved the wagashi making class from a specialist and it was amazing! He was very patient and taught us well . He told us a lot about the origins and history of the area and sweets. Went there with my elderly parents and they enjoyed it too. Ended with whisking traditional matcha and eating sweets. 10/10.Super interesting and engaging...
