市川ワイン食堂Dish cussu — Restaurant in Ichikawa

Cozy spot with a wonderful young couple running it. Husband is the chef who will probably win some awards and the wife is the sommelier. They make a great team serving excellent Italian food and a massive wine list for incredibly reasonable prices. It is not pretentious at all whilst being stylish and warm.

They make their own limoncello! It was refreshing and strong! In fact, I had another glass for dessert!

I sat at the counter and had a bottle of Pinot Noir for under 4,000 yen that I shared with the couple. He didn’t really drink my ch so that’s probably a good thing when you own a wine bar!

There is NO smoking which they are glad to maintain it that way. Some of the small restaurants in Japan still allow smoking so it’s refreshing to go to a place where they don’t allow it and are happy to recommend places that do.

Or sure if they have an English menu but the wife seems to be able to speak some English. Im able to read and speak Japanese so not sure it will be easy for you if you don’t.

過去のレビューを見る限り、だいぶ評判良さそうな店だったので、予約なしで17時開店と同時に入りました。

結果としては、久しぶりの大当たりの店です。星7つあげたいくらいです。

理由としては、カウンターの女性の気配りの素晴らしさ、これに尽きます。

もう少し後で団体のお客様がいらっしゃるので、お料理の提供が遅くなるかもしれません、と最初にさりげなく伝えてくれたので、オーダーを頼みやすかったです。 さらに飲み物を飲み干した後に、何か追加で頼みますか？とさりげなく聞いてくれたり、 こちらが満腹なのを悟ってお冷やを出してくれたり、そろそろ出ようかと思った時のお会計のタイミングまで把握してくれていました。 もう脱帽ですね。

事実、18時に団体客が来たのでかなり忙しくなったのが見ててもわかりましたが、それなのに忙しそうな素振りは少しも見せず、私達のことも忘れずに様子をちゃんと見ているというのが素晴らしかった。

サービス面だけではなく、店の雰囲気やお料理、料理もレベルが高かった。 お店の一押しだという、ローズポークのバルサミコソースがけと、前菜の3点盛り合わせ、カラスミとシラスのペペロンチーノを頼みましたが、どれもオシャレな盛りつけで味も抜群においしかったです。 ペペロンチーノは、あえてうどんのような太麺を選んでいるのが、非常に食べごたえあってシメにちょうど良かったです。

また、ワイン食堂とうたっているだけあって、ワインの種類が豊富ですが、実はビールのラインナップも結構あります。
