Pizzeria da ciccio — Restaurant in Ikeda

What a great lil itallian style pizza place in osaka!! We found this place through google. We got there right when they opened so we (5 of us) got a table. And right away you're greeted by the friendliest couple! We each ordered a pie: margarita, sausage/potato, sausage/corn, and a prosciutto one, and i cant remember the last one lol. Anyway, they were some of the best pizzas I've had in japan. Even the states. We chatted a lot with chef as we were taking pictures and learned that he had traveled to Italy for about 2-3 yrs just to learn how to make that style pizza and put a japanese flair to it! I had to ask for a business card so I could write a review. If you're ever in osaka...check them...

This is the best pizza in Japan in my opinion. As a person who lived abroad and is a fan of authentic Italian pizza, finding good italian pizza in Japan is really difficult.

This little pizza place is simple, The menu is Italian pizza, and only pizza.

The chef has lived in Italy and has mastered the italian pizza tastes...No mayones, no nori, no teriaki chicken.....you get what I mean.

Looking around, many of the ingredients you see are Italian produced and imported. You get the pleasure of watching the chef make the pizza if you sit at the counter.

Simply, all the Italian favourties in one tiny place in Ikeda. It is absolutly worth it for the taste and price .

Amazing service, food tastes great. Chef also curates other Italian dishes; I saw him do that for an old-time Japanese customer. It’s an oven baked pizza concept. There is a clear glass that separates the customers’ table from the chef’s table, so you do get to enjoy the chef put on a “performance” as he curates your pizza from various ingredients. Be sure to translate the Japanese menu by yourself with your device or something....
