Cafe Shozan — Restaurant in Imabari

Very well decorated café and restaurant with a small menu. The owner (?) was very accomodating about our dog and even tho we were not allowed inside with the dog, she took extra effort to bring the food outside for us etc.

The salad was so delicious and gourmet with abundant parma ham and Gouda cheese. Second drink for less than half price is also a bargain!

Only downside is that the food and even drinks took a little long to arrive... A lot of customers and only one staff to wait on all the tables. I guess they must be...

For my mistake I booked a guesthouse close to the café for the wrong day, so I got into some troubles to check in. It was already the late afternoon and no public transportation and no other free hotel close. The owner of the cafe helped me so sort the situation out. His englisch was very good and he safed me. This is probably the best cafe I have ever been to. If you are going through Oshima then this cafe is definitely worth the visit. If you are doing the Shimanami Kaido and have time to take the alternate route to go here, I absolutely suggest you do.
