The set menu is a lot of food and very filling. Found the sashimi platter a little underwhelming... The staff wouldn't even explain which was what... Had better sashimi in Onomichi the day before for sure.

The staff is very very meticulous about social distance and measures taken. So much so that we ran into our friends by chance at the restaurant and wasn't even allowed to chat with them casually since no talking except within families and even that limited to small voices. Can take it as a good or bad thing.

Also! Expect a lot of bones in the deep fried fish... Not like fish and chips at all so be...

The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff were kind and welcoming. The food was good, but not quite great—some dishes had nice flavor, while most were on the bland side. Portions were quite small, and the overall price was very high for what was offered. That might just be my perspective as an American dining in Japan, but it felt a bit out of balance. Also worth noting: they do not accept credit cards and mention they do not give change, so be sure to come prepared. Overall, it was an okay experience, but probably not one...

We came here on a recommendation from a local. We ended up going with the flat fish tempura and the fried fish set meal.

Both meals were fantastic but the hands down winner was the fried fish. I didn't even know that this was something worth trying while in Japan. So glad we did. And the gentleman that served us was just the sweetest and kindest...

The food was good, but I definitely do not recommend it if you don't like fish. If you get one of the fried fish options, there are also lots of bones, but I guess that's part of the experience. The staff were really kind and accommodating, trying their best to explain the dishes and drinks in simple Japanese and English. Vibe was really nice, too.

Had the fried fish set menu 2200¥ and the fish was cooked to perfection, moist inside & crunchy on the outside. NB: fish cooked with the bones in adds immensely to the flavour. Get your fingers in & enjoy. Leave some lemon to cleanse your fingers. Delicious!
