Okami Coffee — Restaurant in Imabari

My wife and I wanted a good cup of coffee while driving around Imabari. We found this little gem. The decor was calm, the music selection suited the mood very well, and, most important of all, the coffee and deserts were excellent. First, the coffee: we tried four different coffees. Each was very, very good. Our favorite was the Coyote blend. Second, the deserts: We tried two deserts, the cheesecake and the gateau Chocolate. The cheesecake was fantastic. As far as the gateau chocolate, it was one of the most well balanced, deep, and rich tasting cakes we've had. Third, the atmosphere: The cafe was relaxing. The music selection was very interesting. The owner has a great collection of records to choose from. Most importantly, we didn't have to, either strain to hear the music, nor fight to hear each other over it. Arrived at this cafe while on the walking pilgrimage, was happy to find an amazing cafe with excellent desserts and coffee. I'd arrived a little later in the day so they'd run out of lunch servings, however they were kind enough to provide onigiri which were delicious, slightly savoury with perfectly cooked rice.

I ended up ordering the caramel parfait and the home roasted Ethiopian bean coffee. The caramel parfait was amazing, sweet and creamy without being too overpowering with chunks of cheesecake and a perfectly formed meringue on top. The coffee was great, I'm no coffee critic but it was smooth without being too bitter for my tastes.

TL;DR it's great, worth walking put of your way to go to. The last thing you want when walking the pilgrimage is to walk further but this is one of the few places worth the distance.

🌿たっぷりの主菜チキンに　グリーンサラダの盛り合わせ 野菜豊富なお味噌汁　☕ドリンク付きで、￥１２００でした。 (^▽^)/★☆♪ ただ、お庭からの　お店入り口の関係で　外階段　有り！💦

💠　♿　幅も　狭いので、足元の不自由な方　車イスのかたには 適しません。

🌱店内は　極力、梁などを残した　古民家利用、ソファーや、腰掛け等 形状もいろいろ

入って正面が　cafe☕カウンターの暖かな感じ、、 家具も　昭和な本棚　茶箪笥、、、、

灯りとりの窓に、残された　書院造りの細工から もれる　外光が程よい。

古民家だけど　庭に面した　窓は　広くとっており 店内が明るい印象でした。
