Established in 1883, this is one of the best eel restaurants in Nagasaki area. Located in Isahaya city, the restaurant sits by the beautiful Honmyu River. My family reserved a private room called “Tachibana” and the interior and the view are wonderful! Barbecued eel was served in a traditional clay steamer, which is a local special way of preparing the eel. That makes the eel softer and keeps it warmer.
