Starbucks Coffee - Ise Naiku-mae — Restaurant in Ise

While this coffee shop can be found all over the country, I will write about how to enjoy it in Ise Jingu Torii-mae-cho. The second floor is a long, vertical structure built in the traditional townhouse style. It has a beamed ceiling, but there are small windows for light, giving it a bright and open feel. Perhaps because we visited when it opened, we were the only ones there for nearly an hour, allowing us to leisurely savor our coffee. If you plan to visit, I recommend coming early in the morning.

The biggest attraction is that you can see the sign for Shirataka directly across from the window facing the Ise Kaido. Shirataka is sacred sake that has been offered to Ise Shrine every day for 100 years, since 1924.

Great exterior, great interior and awesome view on the main street indeed! I was hooked by the exterior first to decide spending time in ‘Starbucks’, but the interior was more than the exterior. It had a natural woody smell that felt so comfortable. It was not very crowded, with more than half the tables empty, although it was Sunday afternoon. 일본 전국에 있는 28곳의 스벅지역랜드마크스토어점중 마지막 순번으로 방문한 곳은 이세나이쿠마에점입니다.

미에현 이세시에 위치해 있습니다. 점포명이기도한 이세신궁중 내궁이 위치한 곳에서 가까운 통칭 오카게요코초로 불리우는 거리에 위치합니다.

서울로 치면 인사동에 위치한 스벅과 비슷하다고 볼 수 있는데요. 일본전통거리를 보존하여 옛모습의 형태로 현대적인 편의시설과 상업시설등이 길게 시장처럼 늘어져 있습니다.

평일이지만 거리에는 일본인들로 북적북적합니다. 먹거리를 파는 곳들은 점심시간이 한참 지난 시간인데도 문전성시를 이루고 길거리도 활기찹니다.

일본전역에 이러한 전통문화보존지구가 수십곳이 있는데, 거의 대부분 둘러 보았습니다. 그중에서도 가장 일본스럽고 아름다운 곳이 여기입니다.

이 장소는 3회째 찾는데, 목적이 있을때마다 방문입니다. 첫방문때 이세신궁을 두번째는 이세시맨홀을 찾아오고 이번에는 스벅이 그사이 오픈해 랜드마크로 지정도 되고 포켓몬맨홀까지~!!!

매장은 1F은 좌석을 없애고 주문후 테이크아웃을 받기 위해 대기하는 공간과 굿즈를 판매하는 공간으로 비워 둡니다. 2F만 운영하다보니 좌석은 30석 남짓입니다.

2F 창가석에서는 즐거운 표정으로 이세신궁을 관광하는 행인들의 모습이 보입니다. 신년이라 그런지 이곳을 찾은 인파는 교토 벚꽃 or 단풍 성수기 못지 않더군요.

이곳과 비슷한 스벅지역랜드마크스토어들은 다자이후, 교토니넨자카, 가와고에, 나가노젠코지등이 있는데요. 모두 일본 전통보존거리구역에 스벅이 위치합니다.

목조양식의 건물과 매장 인테리어를 선보여 일본스러움이 극대화되어 집니다. 매장을 찾아가 커피를 마시는 것 만으로도 일본여행의 목적이 될만큼 시선을 압도합니다.
