Ganesh — Restaurant in Iwakuni

This place offers a great selection of Indian food and has always treated me right in terms of customer service. There can be a bit of a longer wait when it gets busy, though the taste makes up for it.

Here are a couple of helpful tips:

-This is 1 of 2 Ganesh restaurants within this shopping area. This one is on the main strip going towards the train station (on the left).

-There are a couple of paid parking areas in the street just behind this restaurant, usually costs about 100 yen for the time it takes for two to eat a meal, however the free parking ticket they've offered me in the past do not work in these meters. I suspect they do work in the large parking area in front of the other Ganesh which is within short walking distance (Google the other Ganesh).

-There's a smoking area between the couple of parking areas mentioned in the previous tip, behind this Ganesh restaurant.

-the cheese Naan is amazing, but I'm sure it's terrible for you.

-If you order take out, make sure you confirm which Ganesh you're calling to potentially save yourself confusion and short walk to and from the other Ganesh (speaking from experience). The employees speak...

I love this place! I've tried a number of things from their menu but the chicken egg korma is my favorite with a side of chicken biryani and a mango lasse as my drink/dessert. All of that runs about ¥2100 but I never finish all the food so I always have leftovers and this food is GREAT as leftovers! They take card and yen for sure but I can't say if they accept USD. The lunch special is too expensive for what you get my bill was 1,045. This only had soup, Cheese Nan, and curry. NO DRINK (Lassi), NO SALAD. you can get a much better deal at Devi.
