Rai Rai Tei — Restaurant in Iwakuni

One of the better ramen shops around although they have their downfalls. The ramen his is great, no doubt. While they have basic noodles, they have some of the better broth and pork around. They also have the best pork of all the popular ramen shops I've been to in the area. Their soft boiled eggs are some of the best I've had too. The service and facilities is where things aren't so great. There is almost always a line to wait. They have Japanese style tables which can get uncomfortable if your waiting too long and don't get a spot at the bar. The place doesn't look like it's been cleaned in years and doesn't have the classic cozy ramen...

Noodles are thicker than normal and the taste is great. Had spicy ramen lv 3, had my nose running and my sinuses appreciative after the meal. Spicy ramen had wontons and pork slices, pretty filling before the add ons, served on the side. Each side was a large portions for 110-220 Yen. This is my favorite place to come eat in Japan. The richi ramen is amazingly flavorful and was what I was imagining when I arrived here from the states. When I first ate at Rai Rai Tei, I made the mistake of getting the regular ramen. Don't make my same mistake and grab some richi ramen.
