If you are looking for the fix for your craving, then this is the spot. This place has unmatched Indian food in Iwakuni city. I come here once or twice a month for the same order every time. I love the chicken tikka and naan. I may occasionally think about trying another menu item, but I am always drawn back to the same order. What I love about the chicken tikka is the flavors are on point. The spice level is pretty mild, to be honest, but the marinade they use is better than what I have tried at the other spots in town. The meat is also juicy and not at all dry. They also are quite generous with the side salad that comes with the chicken and they include a slice of lemon for added flavor for your chicken. I cannot escape talking about the naan. It is tremendous. The standard naan is quite large, a bit bigger than the competing shops and always has a very crispy bottom. The pictures of the naan and chicken you see in my review are the result of me asking for both items to be cooked "extra crispy". I think they came great, but go for the regular cooking if you are unsure if you like your food so crispy. The naan was glorious though. Shattered with every bite and came out glistening in butter/ghee. It looked like a leopard, but tasted like heaven.
Overall, this a a jewel in Iwakuni and deserves a car trip to visit, if you are nearby. The food is the star, but the service is very friendly and accommodating. I have been in when they had their lunch rush and it was handled professionally and no one seemed stressed out. Please, make this shop a must-visit on your next...
Read moreI am Pakistani so I have pretty high standards for my Indian/Pakistani food. This place is the best Indian/Pakistani food in Iwakuni. Ganesh doesn't even come close! The staff is very friendly and we always get great service whether dinning in or doing take out. They even recommended an Indian spice store in Kobe where they get their spices from. I placed a big order from there last year and use those spices to this day!
My favorite items on the menu are choley(garbanzo beans curry), seekh kabab(minced chicken or beef skewers), and tandoori chicken (grilled chicken)! Their naan is really good as well! My husband loves their black sesame naan and I like their garlic naan! There is plenty of seating at the restaurant and generous parking spots. I know Ganesh is popular in this area, but Srijana is far far superior! Definitely give this place a try and you won't be...
Read moreWe arrived at 5:00 PM. The hostess and other staff members were very polite and foreign service friendly. The menu was well thought-out and easy to understand in English and Japanese. The couple set (5600 Yen) included two curries, two naan (including the upscaled naan options), two drinks, a grilled plate of two tandoori shrimp, tandoori chicken, a kebab, and two other roasted chicken thighs plus a salad and the two small soup cups. Take out is ok which is good since we had plenty of leftovers. Tasty food, an easier parking lot compared to other places,...
