I was surprised to find this lovely tea house during our Nagaoka Fireworks trip. They offer a good variety of high quality Japanese tea, and traditional desserts to go with it. I had the 2X2 tea combo and the Taga 3 dessert set, both carefully prepared and exquisitely presented. It was a truly immersive and sublime experience! The staff are friendly and accommodating. The owner speaks fluent English. I’d very much like to visit again.

高田駅チカにあるお茶カフェ、施設自体は和菓子屋さん（上生とおかき）とゲストハウスと複合施設っぽい施設の一角にあります。ショップスペースは10時から営業していますが、カフェスペースは11時から。 とりあえずお茶と美味しいお菓子を心ゆくまで楽しめます。お茶は自家焙煎（注文入れてから焙煎する）のほうじ茶をはじめ、日本各地の厳選した茶葉のなかから選んで注文するスタイル。自分が行ったときは7種類あった。味の好みは甘み、渋み、香りのチャート（お茶だけにな！ｗ）があるので、それで選んでもいいし、よくわからないなら適当に選んでみてもいいかもしれない。 目の前でお茶たててくれます。流儀はちょっとわからない。 お水は妙高の伏流水、軟水で最初にお白湯だしてくれます。その後茶葉によりますが1番、2番、3番と3杯お茶入れてもらえます。 頂いたのは加賀棒茶（中煎り）、1番茶はガツンと香りが来るし、2番茶が一番飲みやすかったし、3番は余韻を楽しむ。季節の上生菓子との相性もとても良かった。結構お茶だけでお腹いっぱいになります😁 駐車場お店の前に結構広いのあります。表の商店街の一角とおもっていたらびっくりするぐらい広い。ただしここに来るまでの道は少し窮屈ですが。お会計はクレカ使用🆗です。

上越では初めてかも知れないお茶の専門店にしてイートインができる和喫茶店です。 2023年に出来たばかりで店内はお洒落で綺麗です。 8種のお茶から選ぶことができます。 煎茶は煎じ方を選べて浅、中、深を選べます。 選ぶと目の前で煎ってくれて、芳ばしい香りが店内を覆います。 まずお茶を入れるお水を白湯で確認してそのお湯でお茶を淹れてくれます。 お水は妙高山の伏流水だそうで極めて柔らかい軟水でした。 私は浅煎り、妻は中煎りで煎茶を頂きました。 素晴らしく芳しくて驚くほど美味しいです。 お茶請けには煎茶最中アイス、妻はクリームあんみつを頼みました。 最中も皮を炙ってくれてとてもカリカリで楽しく味もお茶ととんでもなく合います。 上越でこんなに高級感のある喫茶店は少ないのでは無いでしょうか。 上越へ観光にくる方たちにもおすすめです。 入る時にちょっと勇気がいるかもしれませんがお店の人も優しくお茶にも詳しいので入って損はありません。ぜひお勧めします！

A chill experience where the staff will expertly make you tea from selections sourced from around Japan, and they also have a variety of seasonal Japanese sweets. Afterwards you can buy tea in their shop. Plan on spending 30 min or more here because they take time making the tea and you get 3 servings total. For that reason there could be quite a wait on weekends and holidays. Didn't notice if there was an...

It was a great experience!

The tea and the sweets were delicious and watching the tea being made was very interesting. The staff was really kind and took the time to explain everything thoroughly even though I speak very little japanese.
