Kappo Hosho Sushi — Restaurant in Kanazawa

If you are coming all the way up to Kanazawa, you may as well go so far as to stop here for lunch/ dinner. Definitely worth the drive to get the chance to eat here. Food was some of the best I’ve had so far on my travels through Japan. The sashimi is as fresh as it gets and the tempura is dynamite. The staff doesn’t get a lot of English speakers, but they are definitely an English friendly establishment so do not be discouraged if they’re a little quiet to you. We were at the Karakuri Museum nearby, and were looking for a coffee shop but ended up in Kappo Hosho Sushi at around 11am. I had the sushi omakase, my 8 year-old had the tempura assortment (she doesn’t like sushis) It was absolutely divine! Traditional nigiri - to be eaten with soy sauce. They are elegant, simple (don’t expect the flamboyant modern sushis with ginormous fish slices) The fish are seasonal fish. I ended up ordering more pieces. The tempuras were so crispy, so good too.
