This restaurant is amazing and I highly recommend it. I would give them 1000 stars if I could.

We went there for dinner and did not realize that we need reservations. They had a sign stating that they were full for the night. My husband and I, were by the entrance trying to figure it out where to go for dinner when the Chef/bar staff (male) came by and asked if we had reservation. We told him (with sad faces) No, and he told us that if we were ok, he had a small table for available us. The table was just like any other table and we're so happy for his kindness. 前提として、必ず予約しましょう。人気です。 三連休中日の11:30に着いたところ既に満席、ウェイティングに名を入れ10番目位でした。少なくとも12:30にはなると言われ近くの矢ヶ崎公園（だだっ広く遊具はブランコのみかな？お散歩、かけっこにうってつけです）へ。 12:30頃戻ると、順番は次の次。どんどん人も出ていく！一回転目が終わったのね、さすがウェイターさんの読みが的確です。ストレスなく入店や！！と思いきやそこから「ご予約のXX様〜」「ご予約のXX様〜」「ご予約のXX様〜」、、、 そういう仕組みなのね。仕方ない。。仕組みにまったく文句はございませんが、ウェイティングシートに一言「ご予約の方が優先されます」とか入れといて頂けるとこちらの絶望が軽減されるので是非ご検討いただきたいですね。結局、12:50頃入店。

ちなみに店の前では、食欲をそそって止まない、とてつもなくジューシーで凶暴な香りが立ち込めていて、店の前を通る人の９割位が「えっめっちゃいい匂い！」「スモークチキンだって、いいね」と言わされていましたのでご注意ください。

We visited this lovely cosy restaurant twice during our recent holiday in Karuizawa. We were made to feel so welcome and our kids couldn't get enough of their roast chicken which comes with lovely crispy skin and incredibly juicy meat with gorgeous flavour. The kids also enjoyed the mixed sausages. The main reason to come back was for the scallops in garlic which is part of their hot tapas menu. Comforting food throughout, including delicious gelato.
