Lindt — Restaurant in Karuizawa

After buying an embarrassing amount of chocolate and two drinks (one of which had to be remade iced when it arrived hot instead of iced as ordered) the barista refused to serve me (or sell me) a cup of water with a lid for my child, instead insisting on a small paper cup only. I had to ask for three to get enough for my child, one of which he promptly spilled because he is a toddler.

Shockingly bad customer service. At least the chocolate is good but that has nothing to do with this...

Overpriced and unreasonable. My baby picked one chocolate and I bought a hot chocolate (very average). The seller refused to sell one chocolate. We picked two plastic bags for our children to meet the 8-piece minimum requirement but the seller again refused and protested why we had two bags! I explained that we have small children who like to have separate bags but she wouldn’t budge, saying each bag must...

The seasonal hot cocoa at Lindt was so delicious that I took someone else here the next day. The staff was great at answering out questions. The chocolate selection was very good and we will keep coming back and hoping to see new flavors. We hope that the Sakura chocolates will arrive soon since the outlet is the only Lindt store in Nagano Prefecture. We will continue to visit and to hope for...
