Green India Restaurant — Restaurant in Katori

This restaurant features a nice Japanese/English menu complete with photos of almost all of the menu items. This restaurant is an 8 minute walk from Sawara station and our nearby hotel. I had the Course B dinner with my wife on a Friday night. The staff are friendly, prompt, and very polite. The first course was a small bowl of soup (not sure of the name) followed by a very refreshing chicken salad. Our included drinks were served next. I had the excellent iced chai and my wife had a Coke. Next up was a cabbage salad accompanied by a triple sampler of chicken pakora strips, a curry chicken wing drumette, and a tandoori chicken thigh. The main course was a bowl of butter chicken accompanied by a very large piece of naan bread (a triangular piece about 13 inches long and 6 inches across at the wide end of the triangle. This main course was my favorite part of the meal and I am not a big butter chicken fan. Finally, there was a small scoop of vanilla ice cream with chocolate sprinkles.

The restaurant is humble in size but great on flavor and authenticity. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Sawara-Katori area. Meal sets range from around 1,300-to 2,780 yen. Quand nous sommes arrivés il y a avait juste une table de prise mais quelques minutes plus tard le restaurant était complet donc c’est un lieu à succès il est donc préférable de venir le plus tôt possible ! J’ai vu dans les avis précédents que le naan était très bon et je peux le confirmer aussi. Ce jour là nous pouvons en commander un autre en supplément (il est plus petit que celui que l’on vous apporte avec le plat). Nous avons commandé 2 samousas et c’est la première fois que j’en mangeais des aussi bon ! J’adore ! On sent bien les épices et la pâte était très bonne, je peux dire que j’ai réussi à en manger des vrais (au Japon 😂). Je conseille de pas les mettre avec la sauce ketchups, que je trouve un peu dommage… Pour les petit pots de curry 🍛 c’était très bon et les goûts étaient variés j’ai bien aimé ce set mais une fois que vous avez tout manger je peux vous assurer que vous n’avez plus faim ! Surtout après un deuxième naan. J’avais commandé une boisson et j’ai du un peu de temps avant qu’elle arrive.. peut-être parce qu’il y avait beaucoup de monde, dommage pour la photo, c’était un chai latte. Pour le bouillon que l’on vous apporte au tout début ne soyez pas surpris que ça soit dans un bol pour enfants 😂 peut-être faute de moyens ? Ça peut être surprenant pour la présentation !

Eh, honestly it wasn't that great. I've been to many Indian restaurants in Japan and this was one of the worst. A small soup that wasn't very nice served in a babies cup..?
