It is always hard to review Japanese Hotels. Certain things which are negatives are also universal in this country. For example they never allow early check in even if the room is ready. Next, the rooms are usually tiny (entire hotel room being the size of a large hotel bathroom in some places). The bathrooms are usually plastic caravan style things. The windows are usually small. All of these negatives apply here.||On the plus side, Japanese hotels are always well stocked. What do I mean by this? There are always vending machines somewhere in the hotel selling beers and adult video cards to put in a slot near your TV. There are akways smoking floors if you happen to smoke. You can get combs, razors etc easily. Toothbrush in the room means you don't need to rememeber one.||So basically this is a very standard low end Japanese salaryman hotel. Ive rated it 2 rather than 3 out of 5 because of issues with smell...

The guy in the front desk responds in a rude way without trying to find a solution or giving an explanation whatsoever to a simple request of an additional pillow (because there's only one pillow in a double room and it's very thin). This hotel advertises itself as having English speaking staff, which not only it's not the case but the guy even looks and talks to foreign customer arrogantly from the beginning, without even trying to be helpful and doing the least possible amount of effort. What a shame.
Bathrobe so small that it doesn't fit, neither do the slippers.
Also, the hot spring bath, even as it looked nice, it was useless as the temperature was way out of control with customers screaming and barely getting into the bath for a few seconds. I have no idea about the temperature, but I take baths at 42-44° very regularly and this time the water was unbereably...
