Ramen Taro Rokko — Restaurant in Kobe

The atmosphere is cozy and nice. It is not packed when I usually go to enjoy a bowl. The taste however is mediocre. If you're really into 'stinky' ramen, (very strong tonkotsu broth) this is not your place.

I've had the tomato ramen which is not bad, but not something I would crave. And I had their standard ramen and it was good but not the best.

The free complimentary gyōza was nice during the time I went.

I would say go to this place if it's along the way home and you're hungry. But if you're just ramen hunting there are plenty of nice ones nearby if you go...

Broth was fire, very rich and creamy, but felt light enough that I could finish the whole bowl without feeling weighed down. The chashu was tender with just a hint of smokiness. The kimchi gave a nice touch of spicy pop. Most definitely a repeat ramen...
