After the renovation it is not just the old bad interior that they got rid of, they also got rid off good service. The service in this Starbucks is unbelievably horrible. The experience here was a nightmare. Some of the part-timers are racist at times. Just because some of my friends did not speak Japanese, they were making discriminating comments as well as other unnecessary and unpleasant comments. I don’t recommend this Starbucks for international customers at all. Secondly, my friends had left the seat to order or move things to the charging spots and go to the bathroom, when they came back after a short while, the things were gone, it was moved by the part timers without any consent. The things included expensive valuables (e.g. MacBook that you can’t take to the bathroom logically). We were at a loss of words. Because that is purely unbelievable. Other customers had left their seats for a long while, and others had sat without even ordering for an hour. Regardless the part timers were only rude to us. Lastly, we had gotten ready to leave and thrown our drink away and was waiting for our friend to pack up, the female short part timer with brown dyed hair in pony tale with bangs had come to us and rudely told us to leave multiple times even after explaining to them the situation in my limited Japanese. We ended up basically “forced” to get multiple new drinks. What is more ridiculous is this was only done to international customers. Overall, this place should improve their service or change their staff line up, and until then I do not recommend this Starbucks to...
Read moreSmall Starbucks located on the 3rd floor above Sumiyoshi station. Coffee was ok, interesting the way it varies between stores but that is fresh coffee too. We went on the opening day and it was reasonably busy, still easy enough to get a seat though. Seem to be very few power outlets (コンセント or consento in Japanese) though so going there to work or chill out with a laptop could be challenging unless your battery lasts for a long time between charges. Overall it is ok though other Starbucks stores nearby offer a better level of service and...
